Dr. Nalini M Selveindran graduated from University of Malaya with honours in 2001 and subsequently obtained the Membership of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health in 2006. She subsequently completer her fellowship in Paediatric Endocrinology at the Children’s Hospital of Westmead, Sydney in 2015. She is currently Consultant Paediatric Endocrinologist at the Hospital Putrajaya, a major referral hospital for endocrine disorders in Malaysia
She currently sits on the Malaysian Medical Council’s subspecialty committee for Paediatric Endocrinology. She is also involved in training and teaching and is a member of the Malaysian Paediatric Endocrinology Subspecialty Training Committee. She is also a member of the National Committee on Rare Diseases. Besides this. she is involved in the development of various guidelines in the field and is currently the chair of the clinical practice guidelines on ‘Growth Hormone’ (Ministry of Health, Malaysia).
She is also active in various organisations and is currently in the council of the Malaysian Society for the Study of Obesity and also research head for the Malaysian Paediatric Endocrine Group. She is currently a member of various medical societies, including the European Society for Paediatric Endocrinology (ESPE), Asia Pacific Paediatric Endocrine Society (APPES), Malaysian Endocrine and Metabolic Society (MEMS) and the Malaysian Paediatric Association (MPA).
