Professor Ann McCormack is an experienced endocrinologist with broad endocrine clinical practice. Dr Gudmundur Johannsson is a Professor of Endocrinology and Vice Dean at the Sahlgrenska Academy, Faculty of Medicine, University of Gothenburg and a Senior Consultant at the Department of Endocrinology at Sahlgrenska University Hospital, Gothenburg, Sweden. He earned his medical degree from the University of Iceland, and training in internal medicine and clinical endocrinology at Sahlgrenska University Hospital. Professor Johannsson defended his thesis in 1997 and became a Senior Lecturer in 2003, progressed to Professor of Endocrinology in 2010, all at the Sahlgrenska Academy, University of Gothenburg. He was the head of Department of Endocrinology at the Sahlgrenska University Hospital in 2000 – 2011, Deputy Director of Department of Internal Medicine and Clinical Nutrition, Institute of Medicine, Sahlgrenska Academy in 2015-2018. He was also the Deputy Director Institute of Medicine, Sahlgrenska Academy between 2018-2023 and Vice Dean Sahlgrenska Academy, University of Gothenburg from 2024. Dr Johannsson was a Visiting Professor at the University of New South Wales, Sydney from 2001 to 2003. He is a Board member and past president of the Growth Hormone Research Society, board member of the Pituitary Society and member of the steering committee of European Reference Network on Rare Endocrine Conditions in the European Union.

Joseph G. Verbalis, MD, has published more than 300 journal articles and book chapters related to the neuroendocrine regulation of the hormones vasopressin and oxytocin, and disorders of body fluid homeostasis. He authors the chapters on vasopressin and water metabolism in major textbooks of endocrinology (Williams Textbook of Endocrinology; Principles and Practice of Endocrinology and Metabolism), nephrology (Brenner & Rector’s The Kidney; Diseases of the Kidney and Urinary Tract), and neuroscience (Fundamental Neuroscience). From 2003 to 2010 Dr. Verbalis directed the Georgetown-MedStar General Clinical Research Center. Under his leadership, Georgetown and Howard Universities were awarded an NIH Clinical and Translational Science Award (CTSA) in 2010 to establish the Georgetown-Howard Universities Center for Clinical and Translational Science (GHUCCTS), one of 64 such centers of excellence in clinical and translational science in the U.S. GHUCCTS was successfully renewed as a CTSA in 2015. Dr. Verbalis is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians and a member of numerous scientific organizations, including the American Society for Clinical Investigation, American College of Physicians, American Physiological Society, Endocrine Society, American Society of Nephrology, Society for Neuroscience, and the Organization for the Study of Sex Differences.

Kevin Yuen, MD, is a neuroendocrinologist, medical director of both the Barrow Pituitary Center, and and the Barrow Neuroendocrinology Clinic, and is a professor in the Department of Neurology at Barrow Neurological Institute. He is board certified in both internal medicine and in endocrinology, diabetes, and metabolism by the American Board of Internal Medicine. Dr. Yuen’s expertise includes the diagnosis and treatment of pituitary and adrenal tumors and pituitary dysfunction, with a particular interest in growth hormone deficiency and excess, hypogonadism, and cortisol deficiency and excess. Dr. Lawrence A. Leiter is Director of the Lipid Clinic; Associate Director of the Clinical Nutrition and Risk Factor Modification Centre; and Associate Scientist, Li Ka Shing Knowledge Institute at St. Michael’s Hospital in Toronto where he was also the Head of the Division of Endocrinology and Metabolism from 2000-2010. He is a Professor in the Departments of Medicine and Nutritional Sciences at the University of Toronto. Dr. Leiter is a Past-President of the Canadian Society of Endocrinology & Metabolism (CSEM) and a past Chair of the Clinical and Scientific Section of the Canadian Diabetes Association (CDA). He has been involved in many national and international committees and consensus conferences including those of the International Diabetes Federation, CDA, Canadian Hypertension Education Program (CHEP), Canadian Cardiovascular Society (Dyslipidemia), and Obesity Canada. He is an Associate Editor of the journal Diabetes Care. For his work, Dr. Leiter has received a number of awards including the CDA Frederick G. Banting Award and the American Diabetes Association Charles H Best Award (awarded to DCCT investigators), both for Distinguished Service, the 2005 CSEM Educator of the Year Award, and the 2006 CDA Gerald S. Wong Award in recognition of significant contributions to the diabetes community. He was the inaugural winner of the St. Michael’s Hospital Complete Physician Award in 2009. Dr Loh Wann Jia is a Senior Consultant with the Department of Endocrinology at Changi General Hospital (CGH). She also specialises in Internal Medicine, with clinical interests in metabolic conditions, including dyslipidaemia, obesity, diabetes, and insulin resistance. Dr Loh obtained her Bachelor’s in Endocrinology from the Imperial College London in 2011 and went on to complete her Master of Medicine. Subsequently, she embarked on two overseas clinical fellowships with research components: one at the Imperial College London in 2017 and another at the Royal Perth Hospital in 2022. Dr Loh set up the Lipid clinic and service in Changi General Hospital. Dr Loh’s primary research interests are in metabolic conditions including hyperlipidaemia, obesity, diabetes, and insulin resistance. As a primary investigator and co-investigator of multiples studies, Dr Loh has been awarded multiple research grants, with the aim of translating key research findings into clinical practice for improved patient care. Her dedication to medical research has been recognised at various research awards, such as the National Medical Research Council (NMRC) Research Training Fund, NMRC Population Health New Investigator Grant, and Nurturing Clinician Researcher Award by the SingHealth Duke-NUS Medicine Academic Clinical Programme (ACP). In 2022, she was conferred the SingHealth Publish! Award for her paper titled “Lipoprotein(a) as predictor of coronary artery disease and myocardial infarction in a multi-ethnic Asian population”, published in European Atherosclerosis Society journal, Atherosclerosis.

Prof. Dr. Noriyuki Namba is Professor and Chairman of Pediatrics and Perinatology at Tottori University, and Guest Professor at Osaka University. His career includes extensive experience at Osaka University, rising from Assistant Professor (2004-2013) to Associate Professor (2013-2015) and later Guest Associate Professor. He also served as Chief of Pediatrics at Osaka Hospital (2015-2019). Earlier in his career, he was an Instructor at Okayama University and Chief of Pediatrics at Niimi Central Hospital. He held a postdoctoral fellowship at Washington University and completed his PhD and MD at Okayama University. Dr. Namba is a board-certified pediatrician and endocrinologist, and a certified endocrine educator. Dr Richard Quinton is Consultant Endocrinologist in Newcastle-upon-Tyne since 1999, formerly with Newcastle-upon-Tyne Hospitals and currently with CNTW NHS Trust, and honorary Reader in Reproductive Endocrinology at Imperial College London. Graduating from Cambridge University in 1988, he trained in Internal Medicine at St Bart’s Hospital, London and at Erasmus University Hospital Rotterdam, followed by higher specialist training in Endocrinology at UCL Hospitals, London. He has been active in research for more than 30 years, with over 200 publications, principally relating to disorders of puberty and reproduction. In 2000, he was awarded the Ralph Noble Prize by Cambridge University and, in 2023, the Outstanding Clinical Practitioner award by the Society for Endocrinology (SfE). He is an associate editor of Clinical Endocrinology, Endocrine Connections and Reproduction & Fertility. He co-developed SfE guidelines groups on male (2022) and female (2024) hypogonadism, female hyperandrogenism (2025) and endocrine management of gender dysphoria (due in 2025).

Dr Yang obtained her medical degree from the National University of Singapore and received her Endocrinology training at the National University Hospital, Singapore, followed by a thyroid cancer fellowship at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Centre, New York, where she was involved in clinical research in thyroid cancer. Through the pursuit of translational research, she aims to utilize personalized medicine in the clinical care of patients with cytologically-indeterminate thyroid nodules and RAI-refractory thyroid cancers. She has recently published her work on the validation of ThyroSeq performance in Singapore and also showed that the molecular test was a stronger predictor of malignancy than clinical parameters. She is studying regulatory mechanisms of sodium-iodide symporter in thyroid cancers with the aim of using therapeutics to optimize RAI uptake. She is the principal investigator for a re-differentiation therapy clinical trial in RAI-refractory metastatic thyroid cancer patients.

Solomon Tesfaye is a Consultant Physician/Endocrinologist at Sheffield Teaching Hospitals and Honorary Professor of Diabetic Medicine at the University of Sheffield. He is also Visiting Professor at Shanghai Jiao Tong University and Adjunct Professor at Xiangya Hospital Central Southern University, China.His research projects include the epidemiology, risk factors, pathogenesis, central nervous system involvement and treatment of diabetic neuropathy and neuropathic pain. He has published a book, over 200 original articles and reviews in diabetic neuropathy including a landmark study in the NEJM.Professor Tesfaye was awarded the Prestigious Camillo Golgi Prize of the European Diabetes Association in 2014 for major scientific contributions in Diabetic Neuropathy. He also received the Arnold Bloom Award of Diabetes UK in 2017 for innovative and patient-centered diabetes care; and the NHS Innovations National Award for One Stop Diabetes Screening Service in 2021. Prof Tesfaye served as Chair the International Expert Group on Diabetic Neuropathy 2010/11; and of NEURODIAB (2006-9) which is the largest diabetic neuropathy scientific group in the world. He is currently a member of the Diabetes UK Research Steering Group for diabetic complications. He is also an Associate Editor of Experimental Diabetes Research, Frontiers in Endocrinology, European Endocrinology and Diabetes Management and previously of Diabetologia and the Lancet Diabetes and Endocrinology. Dr. Tham Kwang Wei is a Senior Consultant Endocrinologist from Singapore. After completing her Residency in Internal Medicine and Fellowship in Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism at the Cleveland Clinic, USA, she returned to Singapore to start her Endocrine career at the Singapore General Hospital where she was part of a core team establishing the LIFE Centre, purposed to deliver multi-disciplinary care across several chronic diseases including obesity. Prof Jalaludin main research interest is in obesity and type 2 diabetes mellitus, growth (nutrition) and vitamin D in children. He holds many national and international research grants and acts as Scientific Advisor and Expert Panel member for many multi-centre international researches for type 2 diabetes, obesity and growth hormone in children. His work has been published in various academic journals including in the New England Journal of Medicine (NEJM).

Dr Muthukkumaran obtained his Masters in Clinical Oncology from University of Malaya in 2013. He previously served at Sabah Women and Children Hospital and currently based at Hospital Kuala Lumpur’s Department of Radiotherapy and Oncology. Dr Muthukkumaran has a special interest in pulmonary oncology, genitourinary oncology, neuro oncology (including stereotactic cranial radiosurgery) and paediatric radiation. He is actively involved in both industry-sponsored and investigator-initiated clinical research. Dr Muthukkumaran is currently the President of Malaysian Oncological Society (MOS). He is a national representative to the Federation of Asian Organizations for Radiation Oncology (FARO) and International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).

Dr. Nalini M Selveindran is Head of Department and Consultant Paediatric Endocrinologist at the Hospital Putrajaya, a major referral hospital for endocrine disorders in Malaysia. She currently sits in the Malaysian Medical Council’s subspecialty committee for Paediatric Endocrinology. She is also involved in training and currently sits on the Malaysian Paediatric Endocrinology Subspecialty Training Committee. Besides this. she is involved in the development of the guidelines on the management of childhood obesity, congenital hypothyroidism and is currently the chair of the clinical practice guidelines on ‘Growth Hormone’. With research interests in the field of disorders of sex development and bone disorders, Dr. Nalini’s work has been published in various academic journals. She has numerous experiences presenting in conferences locally and abroad and has won various awards for her work. She is also active in various organisations and is currently in the council of the Malaysian Society for the Study of Obesity and also research head for the Malaysian Paediatric Endocrine Group.

Associate Prof Dr Noor Shafina Mohd Nor is the current Deputy Dean of Postgraduate & Professional Training at the Faculty of Medicine, Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM), Malaysia. She is also a consultant paediatrician and a consultant paediatric endocrinologist at Hospital Al-Sultan Abdullah UiTM. She completed her paediatric endocrinology subspecialty training in University Malaya Medical Center, Malaysia and The Children Hospital of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA in 2015. She is the current treasurer for the Malaysian Paediatric Endocrine & Diabetes Group (MPEDG). She has numerous publications in journals, books, chapters in books as well as contributed in the national clinical guidelines. She is an active researcher and her research interest is in the area of Paediatric Endocrinology particularly Diabetes Mellitus, obesity, thyroid disorders and endocrine disruptor chemicals especially Bisphenol A.

Dr. Norlela Sukor is a Professor of Medicine and Senior Consultant Endocrinologist at the Department of Medicine, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia Medical Center (UKMMC), Kuala Lumpur. She obtained her medical degree from the Universiti Sains Malaysia and subsequently Master of Medicine (Internal Medicine) from the Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia. She then pursued her training and obtained her Doctor of Philosophy from The University of Queensland, Brisbane, Australia in 2009. Dr Norlela Sukor has many credentials. She has won several awards including The University of Queensland Dean’s Award 2009 for Outstanding Research Higher Degree Thesis as well as the Post Graduate Student’s Academic Excellence Award 2009 by the Malaysian Student Council of Australia and Malaysia Department of Australia. She has also been awarded with Fellow of the American College of Endocrinology (ACE), making her the first Malaysian woman to receive this recognition. She received her undergraduate education in University College Dublin (UCD), Dublin, Ireland. She pursued her postgraduate studies in Masters in Internal Medicine and subsequently completed her Endocrine Fellowship Training at the National University of Malaysia (UKM). She is actively involved in the teaching of both undergraduate and postgraduate programs within the faculty. She is also involved in the Endocrine services including the Weight Management Clinic, with a keen interest in bariatric surgery. She is also actively involved in research, particularly in the areas of diabetes and obesity. She has been a member of the development of various Clinical Practice Guidelines (CPG) including for Gestational Diabetes in 2019 and Management of Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus in 2021 and the upcoming CPG in Obesity.

Associate Professor Dr Suhaimi is a paediatrician specialising in Paediatric Endocrinology. He did his undergraduate in the Universiti Sains Malaysia and obtained his Medical Doctor in 1996. Dr Tan currently works as a nuclear medicine physician in Sunway Medical Centre. His practice mainly focuses on oncologic imaging using PET-CT and SPECT-CT; and systemic targeted radionuclide therapy (radioactive iodine, PRRT and PSMA therapy). He has published more than 30 peer-reviewed articles and received numerous awards. He is currently the president of Malaysian Society Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging (MSNMMI); and Regional Principal of Asian Oceania School of Nuclear Medicine (AOSNM).

Dr Wong Ming is currently a Consultant Endocrinologist at Sunway Medical Centre. She graduated from Royal College of Surgeons, Ireland and was a lecturer at Pusat Perubatan Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia and adjunct clinical lecturer at Monash University Malaysia Campus She was involved in Phase 2 and 3 clinical drug trials in diabetes and hypertension. Dr Jeanne Wong Sze Lyn specialises in General Paediatrics and Paediatric Endocrinology. She graduated with distinction from University of Malaya in 2004, completed her paediatric specialist examinations (MRCPCH UK) in 2009, and sub-specialty fellowship in Paediatric Endocrinology (Malaysia, Sydney Australia) in 2016. She consults neonatal and childhood diseases, general paediatrics, vaccinations and endocrine conditions (age 0-18 years) which include diabetes, disorders in thyroid, growth, puberty, bone, calcium, pituitary, adrenal, hypoglycaemia, obesity and sex development. Dr Jeanne has a special interest in children’s health education. She is a contributing author of the Malaysian Paediatric Protocol; Malaysia Clinical Practice Guidelines for Management of Thyroid Disorders; Consensus Guidelines on Congenital Hypothyroidism in Malaysia and a monthly contributor on the Sunday Star newspaper’s health column published every second Sunday of the month, titled Hormones and Kids. Her journal publications include that on diabetes & thyroid.

Dr. Zanariah Hussein is a Consultant Physician and Endocrinologist. She is currently the Head of the Endocrine Unit, Hospital Putrajaya and Head of the Endocrinology Subspecialty Service of the Malaysian Ministry of Health (MOH). She chairs the MOH endocrine fellowship training program, MOH endocrine drug review committee and Endocrine Subspecialty Subcommittee of the National Specialist Register. She is active in undergraduate, postgraduate and fellowship teaching and training. She has been involved in the development of local Clinical Practice Guidelines for diabetes, obesity, thyroid disease, growth hormone therapy, dyslipidemia and CV prevention in women. Her areas of clinical and research interest are diabetes technology, adrenal and neuroendocrine tumours. She is a Past President of the Malaysian Endocrine and Metabolic Society (MEMS). She is a member of the advisory boards for the National Diabetes Institute (NADI) and Malaysian Diabetes Educator Society (MDES).
