Dr. Nurshadia Samingan is a Medical Lecturer, Consultant Paediatrician, and Paediatric Endocrinologist at the University Malaya Medical Centre. She earned her medical degree from the University of Manchester in 2005 and completed her Master’s in Paediatrics at the University of Malaya in 2012. She further pursued subspecialty training in paediatric endocrinology at University Malaya Medical Centre and a clinical fellowship at Khoo Teck Puat Children’s Hospital, National University of Singapore, in 2021.
With a strong passion for education and patient advocacy, Dr. Nurshadia has been actively involved in numerous diabetes camps and webinars. Since 2021, she has led the annual Diabetes and Ramadhan Webinar, an initiative dedicated to supporting Type diabetes children who are eligible and keen to fast, as well as engaging healthcare professionals in co- managing these children.
Her research interests span on childhood diabetes, obesity and growth disorders, where she has contributed to several research grants and collaborative studies.
