Dr Troy Puar is the current Head and Senior Consultant in the Department of Endocrinology and Adrenal Hypertension Center at Changi General Hospital (CGH). He is also the President of the Chapter of Endocrinologists, Academy of Medicine Singapore. Dr Puar is a clinician scientist with a focus on Primary Aldosteronism, and has received several National Medical Research Council (NMRC) awards. He successfully led a nationwide multicentre clinical trial, making Singapore the first–in–Asia to use functional imaging to diagnose patients with curable hypertension. Beyond Singapore, Dr Puar is also the inaugural President of the ASEAN Network of Adrenal Hypertension (ANAH), which focuses on improving treatment of Adrenal Hypertension in the region. He is the lead Principal Investigator for the Shimadzu–Changi Clinomics Centre (SC3) which utilises state-of-the-art liquid chromatography tandem mass spectrometry to measure the hormones aldosterone and renin for diagnosis of Primary Aldosteronism.
