Prof. Dr. Muhammad Yazid Jalaludin is a leading authority in Paediatrics, Paediatric Endocrinology, and Diabetes. He serves as Professor of Paediatrics and Deputy Dean (Undergraduate Studies) at the Faculty of Medicine, Universiti Malaya, and is a Senior Consultant Paediatric Endocrinologist at Universiti Malaya Medical Centre and UM Specialist Centre. With over two decades of academic and clinical experience, he plays a pivotal role in advancing medical education, clinical excellence, and evidence-based practice. He has held prominent leadership positions nationally and regionally, including President of the Asia Pacific Paediatric Endocrine Society (2018–2020) and President of the Malaysian Paediatric Association (2017–2019). He currently serves as President of Diabetes Malaysia (2025–2027) and Vice President of Malaysian Endocrine and Metabolic Society (MEMS since 2022), advocating for improved diabetes care, education, and equitable access to technology. A Fellow of the Academy of Sciences Malaysia and the Academy of Medicine Malaysia, he has authored more than 120 publications, including two in the New England Journal of Medicine, and received the Outstanding Asian Paediatrician Award in 2024.
