MAC Endo Olympiad competition

The 14th MEMS Annual Congress 2024 (MAC 14) Organizing Committee invites all hospitals to send a team to compete in the inaugural MAC Endo Olympiad 2024.

COMPETITION RULES RULES

1. RULES
• This Competition is conducted under the rules of the Malaysian Endocrine & Metabolic Society (MEMS) and MEMS Annual Congress 2024 (MAC 14) Organizing Committee Competition Rules of the MAC Olympiad.
2. ELIGIBILITY
• This competition is open to teams of 3 doctors from hospitals from all states.  Each hospital may send 1 or more teams of 3 doctors, consisting of 1 physician or endocrine trainee, plus 2 medical officers from either or both medical and paediatric departments.
3. ENTRY FORMS/REGISTRATION

4. ENTRY FEE
• Entry fee is not required, but teams qualified for the Knockout stage are required to register for MEMS Annual Congress 2024 (MAC 14). 
5. COMPETITION PROCESS
• An Elimination round may be conducted online if there are more than 20 teams registered for the competition.
• A Qualifying round will be conducted online on Thursday, 18th July 2024, from 6.00 pm - 9.00 pm. 4 teams who qualify will be notified by 10.00pm Thursday, 18th July 2024.
• The Knockout stage will be held in-person/physically at 4.00 pm on Friday, 19th July 2024 during the Congress. The finalists will stay on for the finale.
• The Olympiad finale will be held in-person/physically on Friday, 19th July 2024, following the knockout stage.

PRIZES

1. The winning team will be presented with the MAC Endo Olympiad Trophy & cash.


2. All Finalists will be presented with medals.


3. Certificates will be issued to all participants who qualified for the competition.
